I Made Djimat, the great master known throughout the world as one of the most prestigious guardians and interpreters of the theatrical tradition in Bali, will be our guest for the entire month of May 2015. Scheduled performances with the Gamelan Gong Cenik, workshops and demonstrations, in Bergamo, Naples and Milan.

WORKSHOP: discover the vibrant energy of Balinese theater by experiencing one of its most sacred and ancient danced Drama - Topeng - with its extraordinary wooden masks : from the refined beauty of the nobles characters to the exasperated irony of grotesque fools. The study of gestures and postures, of the counterpoint keras / manis (hard / soft) that governs the dynamics, will be introduced by a training for the coordination, elasticity and vivid articulation of each body segment. The knowledge of the characters and types will be completed with the development of short compositions and structural improvisations .
